Hello,
I am a new owner of a 7030 Plus and I have two questions:
1 - Is the front display supposed to be on (although quite dim) all of the time, even with main power off?
2 - If so, does it eventually kill the light's lifespan more quickly, ala the old Radio Shack Pro-2006?
Thank you for the bandwidth, the 7030 Yahoo group is all but dead.

Hi John. Yes, as long as the radio is plugged into the mains, the clock shows in the top left corner. The LCD is dimmed in this mode.
The manual states in section 5-1 "When switched off, whilst the receiver is still connected to its adapter, the clock time display will continue with a dim backlight."
It's still a great receiver after all these years.
Noel.

Found it and thank you! Have you any idea as to the lifespan of the LCD? I realize this radio is getting long in the tooth, so I'd like to purchase those radio parts that have a short lifespan while they're still available.
