On May 30, 2007, at approximately 7:04 AM, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 800 East Orchard Road on a report of a robbery/carjacking. Upon arrival, they contacted the victim who said that she was in her car waiting at the stop light at Clarkson and Orchard when she was approached by a white male. She rolled down the window and the male asked for directions. She told him that she could not help him and, as she was rolling up the window, he lunged into the car and began hitting her in the face. He then opened the door, sat on her lap, and continued hitting her in the face. She was able to get free and, as she was exiting the vehicle, got tangled in the seat belt and was dragged approximately 10 feet. Deputies found the car abandoned in the 5900 block of South High Street. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit was called to search the area, but the suspect was not found. Several items from the victim’s purse were found along the Highline Canal and there were several witnesses to the crime. The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was treated and released and the suspect was described as:

White Male 25 – 28 Years of Age
Reddish Blonde Hair with Mustache and Goatee
Height 5’8’ – 5’9’ Weight 150 – 160 LBS
Mechanic’s type shirt
Anyone with information regarding this suspect or in this matter, is asked to call the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office at 303-795-4711
