When I click on "Help/Open Software Manual" nothing happens, ie it doesn't display the manual as expected.
Am I missing something (besides the manual)??

Program is running great, upload/download etc. just fine.

The manual is a .pdf file.
You need to have a version of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system.
There is a copy on the CDROM or you can go to Adobe and search for a copy.
You can open the manual directly from the start menu "All Programs/Butel./ARC XT PRO/Software Manual"

Thanks dab....I downloaded my copy, no CD...but I located a "manual" in the directory with the program. The link in the program doesn't work, that appears to be yet another bug. I'm guessing this program is the work of one dedicated guy, so stuff gets missed. But it's still frustrating.

I say "manual" in quotes, because while this PDF file is way better than nothing, it doesn't begin to cover each setting. I doubt I'm the only one around here who finds some of the program settings baffling, and i doubt I'm not the only one who won't find the explanations in the PDF manual.

I've got the program working to a degree (started with a conventional system), but I'd like to know without going through trial and error what EVERY setting does.

oh well, thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

There is nothing wrong with the link in ARC XT.
You need to re-install the acrobat reader and make sure pdf files are associated with the Acrobat reader in Windows else the link will not work.

There is also a link under START _ PROGRAMS _ BUTEL _ ARC XT PRO _ SOFTWARE MANUAL

I appreciate ARC XT-Pro, and am way better of with it than without it.

FYI: pdf's *are* associated with Adobe Reader on my system.
No big deal, the workarounds get me going.

Thanks,

I also have v 1.5 b3 and the manual is 83 pages with many full colour illustrations of screens-shots. I took it to my local "quick-print" and had it printed with a cover and spiral lay-flat binding so I can refer to it on the operating desk. No, it is not perfect but is a far better software manual than most IMHO. It is not designed to teach the principles of turnking but how to use this particular software. It is far better than the manual provided by the hardware maker!
