ARC-XT & FreeScan

Hey Guys & Ladies,

I can not get the Uniden BCD996XT scanner to work with these two programs at all one minute it'll work and one day it wont...The ARC-XT pops up saying check 1 and FreeScan says Incompatible scanner? I'm using the Uniden USB-1 plug with the driver software. Not sure what's causing this problem.

Due to this intermittent problem occurring with both programs, it may be a dirty or bad USB jack or a bad cable. USB jacks are notorious for collecting dust. Have you tried another port?

I found the problem it was a easy fix. The problem was the baudrate kept wanting to go to 19600 instead of 115000 so after setting the rate on 115000 it cleared up both programs. Woo hoo.
