I am using the demo version that is limited to 5 systems, however it appears ARC-XT Pro is ONLY sending over a few talk groups of each system instead of them all. I am trying to program my 396xt, which at this point got less screwed up when I programmed it by hand.

Without a bit more information - like which system(s) you are trying to upload? Supply the database links so we can all take a look at this. Are there any encrypted talkgroups in these systems?

Too many questions...Mike

I fixed it, by using different software.

I was programming a nearby county & cities entire system into the 396XT, Including system, site, groups, etc, but for some reason once I completed it on the PC, the software was only half sending it all to the scanner. I used freescan & it worked fine, so I'll stick with that.

Did you send butel an e-mail reporting a possible bug? I mean at 70 bucks a rip they better fix it. We don't know what other models may be effected.

No way I'd ever pay for that software. I used a free software and it sent to my scanner very quickly. Butel took way too long to download to scanner.

You might have different baud rate settings in the two programs. Download time should be the same if the baud rates are the same.

As I'm only a one week old with a DMA scanner I'm just curious why ARC-XT Pro vs ProScan. I'm evaluating both now in Linux and so far highly in favour of ProScan probably because of the VCP eye candy. I've yet to experiment with the more complex features.
