So with a little practice, this program works great for my needs.

What I can't resolve, is after getting everything just so and saving it to my hard drive- I then want to copy it (thumb drive) and stick a copy on another PC. No that it matters, but the laptop I use "live" since I can take it out to the scanner mounted in my truck- the desktop PC is more or less the "master" that I do most of my computing on- and the program is installed on each. The scanner is a new 15X.

When I try to move from one to another, the underlying system files all copy fine, as does the Profile file that brings them together. However on the second PC, once in the Profile- it doesn't seem to recognize the system files built into the profile. How does one make it seamless?

Am I describing this adequately? Thanks in advance.

You are, and I've run into the same problem. The work around I've used is to program the scanner using my "main" computer and then use the laptop to read all the information and save it. This also has the added advantage of making sure that there are no differences between the two files. I have a BC15, BCD396XT, and BCD996XT, so I can share files between all three scanners this way.

Profile files store full path info so moving a pfl file to a different pc only works if the related system files are copied to exactly the same location.

But instead just copy the system files ( rsf extension) to a folder on the 2nd PC and then use the folder batch import and then after import you can save a new profile on the 2nd pc.

That will work- thanks.

Consider letting the user define the file directory path, as part of the Edit drop down menu or something- other programs do that, so it would be familiar/intuitive and eliminate those extra steps.
