ARC15PRO software problem

Hey all, had a quick question, I have ARC XT PRO software and a UNIDEN BCT15X. I plug the scanner into the computer and the right COM port shows up and is used, the software detects the scanner and even lets me use the remote control feature, but it will not read or write data from or to the scanner. I have tried adjusting the baud rate and still no joy. At work, one of our rigs has a BCT15 in it and it reads and writes just fine to that. Is there any known problem with that software and the "X" series scanners? Any suggestions.

Use Auto Detect, and it should set it for you.

Auto detect sees it and set the baud rate right and still no joy, this one is weird for me, why some of it is working (the remote control) but not the rest.

Are you able to do any programming on the scanner via the scanner's keypad? It may be a scanner problem versus a software problem.

The virtual control working pretty much proves the software and scanner are communicating with each other.

Are you trying to read it while you are in the remote mode? Trying downloading without the remote up and running.

Did you install the correct software? You are referring to ARC15PRO and ARC XT PRO. ARC15 is for the BCT15 and ARC XT PRO is for the BCT15X.
