ok , i just got this arc250 program for my 785d and i put all the freqs in for the bank then i put all the ids in for the bank hit send data to scanner and the freqs went in and the bank tag are there but i see no IDs all it does is scan and then does a id search then scans again , i have it on trunk and all it does is run .. do i have to put all the control channels at the top of the freg bank? im lost please help Jason

Your file is a shortcut, which can't be found to open. Zip the original mem file and attach.

The attachment indicates you need to set bank 1 to Motorola Type 2 - 800 mHz. Are banks 2 and 3 working ok.?

No, they are set ok as is.

just so i know does this look right , on the send data screen i pick single bank then in the data box i check all 4 options where it says communication bc7xxd says data 34 ,trunk type read ok ,delay 100ms , then i hit send data after its all done the scanner goes to channel 1 and it shows the freq then i hit scan and it does nothing .well it scans all the channels then does a id search then scans again i never here my IDs or anything for that matter

Step settings
Check Step settings on main page of each bank, set as in 1st pic.
Under the setup/software options, set the band plan for 250/785.

ok it works now thanks for all the help .....only thing is i can hear fire ems in the bank i have just with IPD IDs anyway to make it just the ipd IDs ? also the alpha tags i have set for my IPD IDs dont show on the screen just the id , freq and bank list and bank id show.

Is ID SEARCH running? if so, press SCAN. Alpha Tags only work in ID SCAN. You may need to press (.) for the first time change to ID SCAN.

I don't have a 796 Lou, but when receiving a call with the 785,the bank tag is on line 4 of display in ID SEARCH. Line 3 remains Bank (with selected bank numbers) all the time. During reception in ID SCAN, line 3 changes from List (and the selected lists) to the ID Tag and line 4 indicates the Scan List tag.loumaag said:

Well there are obviously differences. On the 796, when in ID SEARCH mode the 4th line is blank if set in List mode and has the bank tag in Bank mode. When in List mode the bank tag appears on hearing a TG. When a TG is coming through, if the TG is known it displays the programmed Alpha-Tag in the 3rd Line, otherwise it says "NEW" and of course the ID is always displayed on the top line, with the second line being the active frequency.fmon said:

I've had this scanner for over 3 years and just now noticed it performs as you describe for the 796 if the (.) is pressed. Most of my scanning is in SCAN mode, and I press SRCH button to switch to ID SEARCH mode. This is the first time I paid any attention to the difference between the display during SRCH and (.). :lol: Thanks for getting me correct.
