Gommert or other users:

I frequently write and re-write systems with several groups and re-upload to the 396T using ARC396. What I notice is that when talkgroups and names are being written in groups there seems to be a lag of 2 or 3 seconds for each talkgroup. Is this normal? As you can see writing a 200 talkgroup system with 2 to 3 seconds per record is a significant amount of time. Does anyone experience the same thing? Is there a work around?

I have the PC control baud rate set to 115k and am programming through a USB-serial adapter.

Thank you

I notice it too... but I was using a lower speed (just to reduce any chance errors)
so I figured it was just me... when I go to write I go do something else and let it do its thing

Thank you.

Gommert, based on the time it does take to program a unit, it would be nice in a future release to have a 'minimize' button included on the "send data" screen. What happens with me is that I maximize the ARC396 programming window to work in and then send data to the scanner which of course brings up the send data screen. This locks the program to the desktop and it takes a bit of windows trickery to get back to the desktop to do something else. I should think that the minimize button would/should bring down both the "send data" window and the main program at the same time and also restore the same way, since the program is locked into programming the scanner.

Thank you.
