Are Belden FSNS1P6QS Snap N Seal connectors waterproof? Their own datasheet doesn't say, but there is a rubber "O" ring at the base. If they aren't, then why bother with the "O" ring?

Yes, we used them in the industry for years, both indoors and outdoors.
Thanks. I figured as much, but I wonder why they don't make a point of it in their advertising or datasheet.
They are very good but at our satellite uplink center we would still give them a few layers of Scotch 33+ tape. If a customer install fails you have an outage, if the uplink center has a failure it can be millions of customers affected so I don't take any chances.
Yeah, I'm also going to tape them up to be sure.
