Array at Liberty State Park

Was biking at the Park with a couple of friends on Sunday June 14th and came across this installation. Any ideas as to what this is being used for?

There is a FIFA Fan Festival there today at 1pm, so it is possible the site is there to increase cell service capacity for the event attendees.

That does make sense. There did seem to be an increased US Park Police presence on Sunday. It was Liberty Park's 50th anniversary and they may have been expecting large crowds.

We stayed for a concert put on by a brass quintet from the NJ Symphony Orchestra. The large crowds never materialized.

The cell carriers have these for large events where the number of users in an area could overwhelm the existing infrastructure. They also use them for temporary replacement of damaged cell sites.

I know from working down there when JCFD's fireboats were there, call service for Verizon was terrible.
