Ashland fire F1 is 151.07 with a nac of 911. What is the F2 frequency? If I am reading the database correctly, F2 is the same as F1 only simplex. How do you enter the simplex version of a digital frequency? Does F1 use a repeater, the database does not show a input frequency.

The way I'm reading the database's notes, the even numbered channels are simplex versions of the odd numbered channel. In other words F2 is the simplex (no repeater) of F1.

So for your scenario, all you need to program is 151.07 to receive F1 and F2. The only caveat is that if they are using F2, you'll have to be reasonably close to the transmitting unit.

My guess is they use a simplex version of the given channel in case they are out of range of the repeater's receiver. There could be a couple of other reasons too.
