Hello Everyone! It is nice to have a forum for sharing scanning information for Arkansas. My question is has the ASP trunking system converted to Motorolla Type II? Also, if anyone has information concerning the system used by Jefferson County I would like to hear from you. If they are Motorolla Type I, I would like to know the fleetmaps and talkgroup ID's.

ASP Trunking

ASP is Type 2, Fleet Map E2, I work for ASP and have the talk groups for the Little Rock area if you would like them. Just let me know your e-mail address.

anyone have any info for troop I?

if, by chance, anyone has anything for Mountain Home, I'd appreciate that, too.... I've been told it's a type IIi, but I was more or less tracking it in type II mode on my old PRO2050... see how the 780XLT handles it next weekend....

The system, as a whole, is Type IIi (at least that's what Trunker tells me). However, I think most of the Troops are using Type II radios at this point.

Just for clarification, most scanners will follow the Type I part of Type IIi while in Type II mode just fine to an extent. The problem is that someone on one talkgroup will sometimes appear to be talking to someone on another talkgroup. It somewhat limits your ability to follow it. However, since I can't speak for the area you mentioned, your best bet is to treat it like a Type II system until you notice strange behavior.

Sorry I couldn't give you anything more specific than that. Perhaps someone else will be able to provide something more. According to the recent addition to the TRD, we'll most likely be dealing with a digital system not too far off in the future.

ASP Troop C

Hey everyone, great forum for Arkansas. I live in North East AR and have the BC246T scanner. Program ASP Troop C on Type 1 and pick up ID's like 000-0 and 000-6. Does anyone know if this Troop has a Type II and where can I get the information? Thanks. Greg!

ASP is, or was type II. L-Troop is APCO-25 now. Those of you in I-Troop shouldn't get to comfy with anything on type II either, your next on the list for APCO-25. They've already started the proccessfor the switch.
The rest of you can still get dispatch for now on 1616, or 3216. I've seen 4816, but only in the Little Rock area. sorry for the spelling, I've been up a while for work.
