While trying to match up what I had with these, I came across what appears to be another one, at the old S. Weymouth NAS (42.158254 -70.933388).

If I am not mistaken I believe that radar site at the old South Weymouth NAS is actually a NEXRAD Doppler Weather Radar (WSR88-D).

The radar at S Weymouth is actually a Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR), the higher-freq cousin to the WSR-88D. It has higher resolution (but lower range) and is used in conjuction with large Metro Airports (Logan, in this case) to detect wind shearing.

New FAA radars

Any of the sites listed with ARSR1/2 or FPS are being replaced with C.A.R.S.R. systems, which stands for Common Air Route Surveillance RADAR.

This is being done through out the country.

Also when these system are finished being upgraded the ARSR-3 RADARs will be replaced.

I went from working on a FPS for 25 years to a CARSR on 11-2012 at Cummington Massachusetts.

That explains why Cummington never shows up as a possible site in Beamfinder.

Coastal CT PP GS

I am starting to dig deeper into PP after only recently starting to share 24/7 using GS id "mN". I'm interested in working on the Beamfinder / Radar locations and plan to try and correlate the sites posted above.

Just curious if anyone has done any more work on this lately and is willing to work together to get this going for the New England area?

You should join the Planeplotter group at Yahoogroups. Beamfinder and the issues with using it in the USA have been discussed there extensively. Some locations/idenfiers in the northeastern USA and eastern Canada have been published.

I've used sources I found online to construct the initial version of the directory, containing 540 radars in North America and Europe, and it's my hope that by keeping it in one place, making it open for anyone to use, and making it easy for everyone to add new information or fix mistakes that it will become a useful and up-to-date resource for everyone.

First, I moved the repository to https://github.com/open-air-data/atc-radar (I left a short message at the original URL with the new URL).

The actual data file is at https://github.com/open-air-data/atc-radar/blob/master/data/radars.geojson If you go to that URL you will see the data displayed on a map. To see the raw data, click the "raw" button or go to https://raw.github.com/open-air-data/atc-radar/master/data/radars.geojson

It would be nice to find this information for Alaska.
It seems that they keep he information stored other then where they keep
the CONUS information.
I sent a letter to the FAA and the AirForce asking for this under the FOIA and the AirForce
refered me to the FAA which has not responded at all.
If you have any tips on where to look for this it would be greatly appreciated.
I have located the sites locations. Looking for the scan rates and II numbers.

My big question is whether the rotation rates are either 6 or 12 *exactly*, or is it a rounded figure. When I run the BF tool, I get some wildly fluctuating rotation rates or rates that are no where near 6 or 12. Overall I get some positive results, but still not where I would hope it to be.
Oh, and by the way, good luck trying a FOIA request from the FAA. I submitted mine a year ago and they still can't seem to find the simple data I requested.
At least with all the TIS-B traffic lighting up, I almost don't need BF

This might be of help to some interested in radar site locations. This seems to only contain sites for ARTCC radars for the use.

It does not show any sites in New York state, but there are several.

Where in NY? Are the ARTCC or TRACON.

From that file it looks like ZNY only uses 1 site, the one in NJ just to the east of Philly.
