Effective December 14th, Athens County EMS switched their analog dispatch to 154.1675 MHz under call sign WQTS-383. Base and mobile communications is still on the MARCS system but all communications from the dispatcher is also relayed over the VHF analog repeater system. Ambulances can use the 154.1675 MHz analog repeater as a backup in case the MARCS system fails. This replaces the simplex paging base on 159.075 MHz and the simplex tactical frequency 155.16 MHz.
