About to listen to a talk radio program 12:00 today while n-bound on I285 en route to Chattanooga for work.
So...I had all the APD patrol zones out - just GSP, AFD, and APD Detectives in case something major happened.
I hear GSP traffic as if they're tracking a car along with APD - not knowing what had happened in Zone-2 (north Atlanta). I hear GSP mention the car was stationary.
I believe the bank dropped a tracking device in with the money. That's what p-d cars with three antennas on the roof (not 4 antennas, that's Lo-Jac).
Then I hear on Detective channel, "watch for cross fire!". Oh boy...it's about to hit the fan. Apparently it did. Hearing portions of conversations it became clear that a perp was Signal-48 / dead.
Later heard traffic that sounded like the perp's car may have struck a pedestrian.
On SOS - Spec Ops / Surveilance channel I hear an officer give a supervisor an account that he heard a pop and then an individual was found with a gun beside them - on the ground or in a car, I couldn't tell.
I tried to post this as it was going on via RR Mobile but my 3G Sprint just couldn't hack it.
By the time you read this - the local news channels will have the full details. It was a wild thing to listen to.
