Attention Feed Providers

I want to take a moment and remind our feed providers of the status message guidelines witch you should have received in the audio newsletter.

Types of status message which are NOT allowed.

*Soliciting Donations
*Promoting other Web sites
*Providing descriptive information on what is being broadcast
*Advertisements
*Links

The feed status message was designed to give listeners the status of a feed that is either down or having problems. We request that any other information regarding your feed either be placed in the description of your feed or be moved to your feed information page. These guidelines were put in place to make better use of the status message field.


Below is an example of the proper use of the feed status message:

We will begin enforcing these guidelines starting Monday 10-5-09.

We are currently in the process of adding an additional Status Message type field for such things as special feeds notices.
This would be a field that feeds owners would have access to just like the Status Message field.

For the Feed Provider newsletters, are they sent to the email address that we provide on the Feed Owner page or are they sent to the email address assigned to our RR account?

Regardless, those of you who haven't received a newsletter need to make sure that you whitelist all emails from radioreference.com so that they don't end up being ignored when they go into your Spam folder.

Maybe everytime a newsletter is sent out, a copy of it could be posted in the news and announcements forum. So that everyone who didn't see it can.
Just a thought.

Also we have an option on your feed that we check "Send weekly reports" and i think if that option is not checked you dont get the newsletter. So if you didnt get it ask us to check that option. Comm i checked yours.

I didn't get any newsletter either, and usually rr.com notices and what not pass my spam filter into my inbox, so I can't imagine why I didn't receive anything.

Like my previous post said if the option "Send weekly reports" on your feed is not checked then that is probley why you did not get it. It was not checked on your feed. I check that option on your feed so you should receve future mailings. I am sending you the link via PM.
