Auburn PD

While they are still on KCERN I can listen to all the Valley Com PD's with the exception of Auburn Dispatch on my analog scanner. If Auburn goes to Tac I can pick them up fine, does Auburn Pd dispatch use digital voice?
I can hear Auburn dispatch on Broadcastify App on my phone. Anyone have an idea why this is?

Wasnt KCERN changed awhile back? Pretty much everything is KCERS which is being transitioned over to a new P25 system. Valley Com and Norcom are both on KCERS.
Which scanner are you using?

Yup I got the acronym wrong, It's KCERS. Only a couple things have actually switched over, they are still testing the rest. I am using the Pro 107 which still works fine but was warned that some are using digital voice. I am in Auburn and receive Kent, Federal Way, Renton, Des Moines, Enumclaw and KCSO SE just fine. My question is anyone with an analog scanner having problems picking up Auburn PD Dispatch? When Auburn PD uses TAC I pick it up fine. I have the latest RR DB (816) on the Pro 107. The only thing I can think of is their dispatch is using digital voice and I can't receive that. If I use the Broadcastify App I can hear Auburn just fine. Strange.
No new scanner for me until I see if the new system gets encrypted

When they transition to PSERN (P25II) it will also be encrypted.
All LE will be from what I understand.

You should still be able to pick up all of Auburn at this time, as it is still showing Analog in the Database.

I was able to find I-Scan and downloaded it and installed it, but I am unable to update the software or the library as it is unable to find where it used to be located on the internet so I am guessing it is not being updated anymore. The talkgroups match the Database on Radio Reference, so you should be able to hear Dispatch. Check your settings and make sure that it is not locked out or set to Avoid/Skip. If all else fails remove Auburn from your scanner and re-import it.
