Please forgive me as I'm a novice to this part of the hobby.
That being said...Here is what I want to do/accomplish:
New Shack:
2-3 Base Scanners, 2 mobile radios with possible portable, and 1 ham base set-up (once I get my license). 2PC's
Looking to take the audio of all the above items into one place where it can be EQ'd and fed to one or two sets of speakers. I want to be able to control each units volume/sound quality independently to the speakers.
In addition, I would like to be able to broadcast 2 feeds on RR, with their sound cleaned up, and also to be able to monitor real time.
When I do get my amature license, would like to clean up/improve my broadcast sound quality as well.
Questions:
Is there a mixer/compressor out there to do what I'm looking to do?
Am I looking at/using wrong terminology when I say mixer/compressor?
Since I will be using a combination of base units/mobile units/portables, are there power supplies that can power all that? I know in the home theater business they make power supplies that have outlets for 8-12 12V devices that can be plugged into one unit, but I think they are very low powered!
Any ideas out there of what I will need? (of course a clue, but I know that)
Thanks!!!
