I live not far from the comb site not able to receive any signal from the control frequencies that’s on RR Try the alternate frequencies still nothing.I have plenty of Signal from the cass site. Those are the two nearest to me I’m about a mile north of the comb site.

It is strange that neither scanner receives the site. It doesn't appear to be simulcast. Are you sure you are a mile from the Combs site. Distance check shows about 15 miles from Elkins to Combs. I would try all 10 frequencies in the Combs site in the unlikely event that the control channel changed frequency. Are the scanners able to decode the control channel from the Cass site? It would be interesting to know if anyone else is having problems with the Combs site. Please attach your programming files for the 436 and TRX-1 and I will check them for problems. You will need to right click on the Sentinel hpe favorites list file you export and Send to Compressed (zipped) folder to be able to attach it. The Whistler file is already zipped and can be attached as is.

Yes I can see the safety light on the tower.I mapped all the sites in the NW Arkansas area and the cass and combs was the closest.I do reserve troop L and troop H on the cass site some times FSPD and SC sheriff.I’ve programmed all the alternatives frequencies for the combs cite with nothing.both scanners skip over that site and hold on the cass.I’ll try to attach the files later today.thank you

I got your file and have been checking it. From what I see, Elkins is in Washington County and you should be using the Fayetteville site for AWIN. The alternate control channel frequencies should not be locked out. The system may change to an alternate when doing maintenance and you will lose the system completely. There are a good number of talkgroups for Washington County on AWIN. According to the database, most agencies in Washington County are using a LTR Passport system which scanners cannot trunk track. You can enter the frequencies as conventional. There is only one talkgroup each on AWIN for Franklin and Madison Counties. Franklin and Madison Counties are using conventional frequencies with a lot of DMR. I don't believe the Cass site will be of any use for you.

Arkansas Wireless Information Network (AWIN)
Project 25 Phase II
City of Fayetteville uses this system.
Washington County Dept. of Emergency Management
LTR Passport
Used by most Public Safety Agencies in the County.

Even with all the frequencies programmed both scanners pass over that site.I have 460.2625 for Washington county program in my TRX 1.yes you can’t trunk track that system.I live in Madison county with an Elkins address.once I leave the Elkins area the the signal on the Fayetteville site gets to weak for me to pick up.I travel into Benton country and Washington county every day for work and can pick up all the other sites. I use my GPS With the PH436 and receive plenty of TG from the other sites.I have several FL for other TG programmed for FPD SPD and all the others agencies.

I don't know why you cannot receive the Combs site. Hopefully, someone in your area will jump in if they have the answer to that question. One thing you need to understand is that the 436 and TRX-1 handle sites differently. The 436 will scan multiple sites. The TRX-1 scans only the site with the best signal. I see that Benton County is migrating to the AWIN system. Generally speaking, you will hear talkgroups only on the sites where the units affiliate. I would suggest doing this for the AWIN system on the TRX-1: Make a list of all the talkgroups you wish to monitor in the 4 counties where you travel. Create 8 separate systems, each with only 1 site for each of the sites in the 4 counties. Include all of the talkgroups for all of the counties in each system. You can have a separate scan list for each system. That way, you will be able to select the site or sites that you wish to scan by selecting scan lists. Your scan lists could look like this:
1MAD Combs
2MAD Swain Mtn
3FRANK Cass
4WASH Fayettevlle
5WASH Springdale
6WASH West Fork
7BENT Benton Co
8BENT Vaughn
You can also have additional scan lists for the conventional frequencies in each county.

I don’t think I can be of much help with those radios, as I am not the smartest. But I do have cass as one of the towers in my pro-106 and I don’t have issues. Not sure what amount of my traffic is through that tower.

someone mentioned Franklin county is a lot of DMR. Any chance I can get assistance with setting up my anytone 878.
I used a codeplug For Arkansas and added Franklin county sheriff. TG 11020 and 11025

I saw a green light but no audio.
Tried adding a photo. But it was too large for server.
