Good morning all...

Bought a house in Overgaard last year and got most of the area agencies all dialed in.

I am having an issue with AZ G&F. Do they truly have one statewide frequency they user all over: 151.460/88.5?

This morning, I picked up some chatter on 151.385/88.5 with some units coming online for the day. I believe I heard a unit # like 141 or 171 or something like that.

With the amount of Forest Service roads we have up here, and the absorbent amount of G&F vehicles that are up here over the summer months verifying licenses, insurance, registration, etc., it would be nice to know I have the right one/s for my area.

Only thing I can find for them is Arizona Game and Fish Department listed under Arizona Natural Resource Agencies, but nowhere does it have 151.385/88.5 listed.

Thank you all for the assistance!!

Years ago, 151.4600 was the statewide repeater channel, with each region having its own repeater channel, and there were a couple of simplex channels as well.
Supposedly, only the statewide repeater is now in use, but that may not be entirely accurate. I think it's been brought up before, too. I'm at work, so I can't look up the old list, but I'll try to remember later.

G&F is transitioning over to the AZWINS system. It is in place in Yuma and Mohave counties, but will take years to complete. G&F does not have a lot of Wildlife Managers / Game Rangers, statewide due to the graduate degrees usually required and the abysmally low pay they receive.

How old is this list? Would it be worth my time to program these frequencies? According to my logs, two years ago I heard something that sounded like G & F in the Ehrenberg ~ Aguila area on 151.43 PL103.5.

20+ years. It predates AZWINS.

It wouldn't hurt to monitor all of the channels. You never know what might actually still be in use, or who might now be using the channels. I'd monitor without a CTCSS tone, DCS code, or P25 NAC. If your scanner is capable, put it in NFM, and it should decode analog or digital automatically.
