Been listening to scanners for the past 40 years. Really enjoy the activity. Have upgraded to the Uniden SDS100 but don't feel like I have my scanner programed correctly. Is there a local scanner group that could possibly help me in the Phoenix metro area?

There’s a huge Facebook group called “AZ Scanner Enthusiasts” or something similar. Has tons and tons of members on it. I would start there.

Or you could create a zip file from your Uniden Sentinel .hpe export (directions to export here). Post it as an attachment to this thread & perhaps someone local can assisit you with setting up what you need

A scanner group would be awesome. The Facebook group is great, but seems to focus more on incidents than the actual monitoring. I think as far as online discussion goes, this forum just about covers it. A physical gathering would be very cool, though. Maybe I'll try and work on that, after the holidays.

If you're on Facebook, feel free to join the group over there, and start any conversation relevant to scanner listening in Arizona, including asking questions about what to listen to, how to listen to them, scanner makes & models, etc.

Arranging meet-ups are encouraged as well.

If you hear an active law enforcement incident on your scanner, please refrain from mentioning it or asking questions about it on the Facebook group until after it has concluded, for officer safety reasons. Thanks.

Maybe I was on the wrong group. The one I was on was almost entirely posts about specific incidents and almost no discussion of radio systems and equipment. That's not what I'm looking for.

The old ICP group meets once a month in North Phoenix off Deer Valley. The location does not rotate or change. Usually last Saturday eve of the month. For the next meeting it's Dec 03 @ Culver's Restaurant. Deer Valley & 19th Ave. Starts 6-630PM

Is there a website where I can find more info? Thanks.

As I said, you're welcome to start any relevant conversation related to scanning in Arizona. If you want to ask questions about radio systems and equipment, please do.
