I prefer a Green background but every time I change the program it defaults back to Blue.
How can I set the default to Green

You'll need to save what you program in the software you are using to program the scanner.

What software are you using?

Are you changing the Display Background Color to Green like in the image?
Are you talking about the scanner display or the ProScan virtual display?
Did you upload the settings afterward?
I can't duplicate the problem.

The backlight color display on the scanner.
I did save the change, but it still reverted back to Blue

I'm not sure what you meant by 'save'? Just saving to file will not change the settings in the scanner.
Did you upload the settings after the 'Display Backlight Color' was changed?

There is a setting in the software for the backlight. The default is blue. Unless you change that setting to green and save the file, it will always revert the display to blue. Changing the color on the scanner manually does not "save" the setting

By save, I mean saving the current program to the database.
I was assuming any changes made to the scanner settings would be retained in that file.

You need to make the change in the FILE you're working with - SAVE it to your PC, then make any changes to THAT file going forward.

Once a file with the CORRECT background color is saved and uploaded to the scanner, the back light will reflect that color.

ONLY work with the file that contains the desired background color. If necessary, double check it before you load it in the scanner.

Seems simple, right? (y)

scanner settings
If making changes to the scanner settings then download afterwards and ensure the settings checkbox is checked.
If making changes to the ProScan settings then upload afterwards and ensure the settings checkbox is checked.
