Backlight and LED light

I am trying to get my ws1040 backlight to light up during a transmission. However it does not do so. I am using Win500 software and the settings in there are the same as under global on the scanner. What should thatt be set to?

I am also not able to get the colored LED to illuminate during a transmission. Once again I dont see on the Win500 how to turn that on or off during a transmission. Any help on these would be much appreciated

You need to turn to "On" each TalkGroup and/or Freq in Win500 detail. See attached.
