OP has got a point.
When I first came over to this site, I was surprised how aggressive it could be at times. There seems to be a lot of people that love to jump on the new guy when they ask a simple question.
Seems like that attitude improved over time and as the moderators removed some of the bigger troublemakers.
Still, I often see some really negative responses/reactions that just are not helpful and not necessary.
Remember, we all have the option to just not respond.
...and to be fair, this site isn't as bad as some others. I used to peruse QRZ many years ago, but the outright negativity and "attack the new ham because they are a new ham with new ham questions" just turned me off on that site.

We think this may be someone dealing with some mental health issues who has developed a pretty serious infatuation with monitoring his local school buses and transit buses. It’s definitely odd.
Much of this started because he was monitoring a Broadcastify feed carrying local bus communications. From there, it spiraled into multiple accounts, numerous Broadcastify Calls applications, feed applications, complaints about buses, problems with his accounts, more questions about buses, his school bus, his transit bus, why he couldn’t listen, when he could listen, how he could listen…. then more accounts, more problems, more support tickets, more complaints, and, inevitably, more buses.
This has been going on for months.
Since then, he’s opened threads on Reddit about buses, school buses and transit buses. We’re talking dozens and dozens of posts, threads and comments spread across multiple social media accounts, forums and other corners of the Internet.
He even contacted me personally on Facebook wanting to know about buses, his account status, school buses, transit buses, his bus, their bus, buses…. transit…. rail…. accounts…. buses…. over and over and over again.
At this point, we’ve spent an astonishing amount of time dealing with one man’s apparently endless quest to monitor buses.
It’s been a wild ride with this guy, that’s for sure.
