Barboursville Vol Fire Dept went Digital

Just today I heard on my scanner they went digital I wonder if all cabell county is switching to digital

No there on 453.800 and sometimes on 453.600

Why in the world would a Fire Department need to be encrypted? That's a waste of tax dollars.

Are there any new updates on the Digital system. I am courious as I had herd rumers about a loacl VFD going the same thing in Marshall County.

Last time I check they are back using the regular radios. I heard the guy working on the radios they where working on the digtal radio and for about one hour they where digtal but they come back using analog so I really dont know yet.

Plus I really dont think Barboursville vol Fire Dept is not going to be encrypted. I really dont see why they need too mostly there calls are fire alarms at the mall
