I spoke with someone yesterday who is retired from Barnes Airbase in Westfield who told me with the big shift in the recent base closures that the 103rd (A-10's) in Connecticut will be shifted to & combined with the 104th (A-10's) at Barnes..Also, the F-15's from Otis AFB out near Cape Cod with be based at Barnes within the next year or so....Anyone have any confirmed A-10 frequencies out of Barnes?? I've seen 'em out flying like everyday for the last month but never picked up anything searching the military 200-400 bands.
Also, active frequencies for the C-5's buzzing out of nearby Westover everyday too please... Thanks

Not sure where you are in western Massachusetts but there should be nowhere in the state far enough away to not be able to hear them. You should have excellent coverage of both the Barnes and Bradley A10s. The tac freqs listed in the 138-144 range are good because I hear them using those freqs from down here in Maryland when they go to the Warren Grove Range for work. Both A-10s and F-16s are fond of using the 138-144 range - in AM mode of course - for their tac freqs. There will be freqs in that range in addition to those listed in the Wiki.

Add: If you need a list of New England MilAir callsigns, I can email them to you.

N4UYV - right at the top of the Wiki page TinEar gave you is a link to another page - that page has much more up to date information (Feb 06 is the last update) than the freq list at the bottom of the Wiki page (2004). I'd stick with the Feb 06 listing - in fact, I think this evening I'll strip the 2004 data off the page and relink it to the Feb 06 data. Unlike so many other pages, evidently someone took the time to do the updates, and that's what it should be using.
