Hello, thinking of Getting a Hustler DCL discone, and was wondering if I can rg6 cable vs rg58, had a discone long time ago, but moved, and looking for suggestions, for about a 30 mile reception, any in put would be great.
Thanks

RG6. Less loss per foot, thicker insulation, thicker center conductor, better shielding...

I recommend the Tram 1410 discone antenna and RG6 cable as previously noted.

Try to stay away from the Hustler discone. A proper discone needs at least 8 bottom legs to perform satisfactory. If you have no problem with low signal strenght, perhaps you live at the top of a hill, then probably any antenna will work.

You may already have them, but don't forget the adapters if you go with RG6. The Tram has a UHF (so239) connector.
