I'm really enjoying the 160DN and 125AT. Together, they handle most of my needs.

Both units sit on my office desk, but I do want to grab them and use as portables when needed.

They do eat batteries fairly quick. I would like to leave them running 24/7, logging activity without swapping Eneloops or coming back to a dead radio in the morning.

Is there a good, filtered 3V battery eliminator? Is everyone else just swapping batteries? I only use USB for programming because of noise and other issues.

Yes, I may just get a 260, but it seems like overkill to buy one just because a battery eliminator isn't available for the 160DN ...or is it?

Thank you,
Mark

What is wrong with simple (and plentiful) USB? (using a quality no-noise source)

Just use the USB cable.

Don't have a160, but use a 125 while traveling for work for mil air and searching GMRS/FRS in the hotel.

It works well on USB power.
