is anybody having trouble picking up Bay transit in Boston? did they switch to encryption? I do have pro voice in my radio the radio IDs are picking up but it's silent.

I don't have my scanner in front of me but the Green line dispatch on Scanner Radio app (fed from the ProVoice system) seems to be working fine.
Did you just program it or was it working before and now not? Your location is Hartford County- are you trying to receive it all the way from CT? If so that's a negative, it doesn't get out that far at all.

OK, I guess it is MBTA but in a database it comes up bay transit but yes, I do live in Connecticut. However, I do work sometimes up in the Boston area and like I said it was picking up the Radio IDs, but there was no audio. I'm going back up there tomorrow. I'll play around with my radio, but I was just wondering if they happen to change anything
reminder that for scanners, EDACS is different than a P25 system where EDACS requires all channels to be entered and have a LCN/channel number programmed

I have it set up and it works last year when I was in Boston some reason I can't send a picture. It says it's too long which I don't understand but how I have it set up is all 15 frequencies and with LCN 1 through 15 and I have it set for edacs system and I do have pro voice in my SDS 100
There is a post in the Mississippi forum concerning the loss of ProVoice in Harrison County after updating the firmware from Uniden. Could this be causing the issue?
I am currently listening to MBTA on my BCD536HP without any issues. What model scanner are you using? The SDS is the one KG4KHQ mentioned having issues.

Just checked my sds100 and sds200 and only talkgoups no sound even using custom frequency search for boston mbta. Do get them on 436 and 536 though. Have latest firmware on sds's.
I do have a 436 and a 536 436 is coming back from the repair shop. My SDS 100 is deaf on pro voice ever since I updated it sounds like I may have to make a complaint with UNIDEN.
Or wait for Uniden to come out with a Fix. They are building out the new P25 trunk however, so I wouldn't put too much effort into it.
so they are moving to p25?

Awhile before p25 so the more info to uniden the better. I just sent one ticket on uniden tech support. Provoice should be working, its what we paid for but good to check firmware periodically

Yeah p25 soon will be good, although i talked with uniden and they are fixing the firmware to fix the loss of provoice. Should be a firmware update soon. They said they are rewriting it now and testing. Be good to listen until the switch.
OK, so I'm in Boston today for a few hours. I have my SDS 100 and my 436. It turns out that the update for the SDS 100 does have a problem with the pro voice 436 is working just fine so I hope undien would be able to get that fixed soon

I let uniden know and they are working on it. They agreed it should work no matter what which is obvious. They were nice.
