I am about to purchase one of these units and I just want to confirm it will do Fleetnet. I have a 785 no card and 2 780's... I love these old units.
The old noodle is kinda rusty but I believe that Fleetnet is 3600 baud.
Thanks in advance for your replies and advice.

although I dont have a 796 I wonder if the high offset for GO can be broken down into segments. 406.000 step 12.5 offset 380 then 410.750 step 12.5 offset xxx etc. First I would see what the highest offset for base 1 is and then do the math for the rest of the band. The idea being that hopefully the scanner would reach the area that Go transit/metrolink is using.

I'm here a lot
hopefully the scanner would reach the area that Go transit/metrolink is using.

What works on my Pro-2096 without software for GO is:

Base 406.0125
Offset 10273
Space 12.5 kHz
Table for 9600 system

Does the 796 have a 9600 table option?
