With a recent bunch of gang related stabbing and shooting deaths news paper says the juveniles go to Paramus detention Center - i have been driven past there but never see any Paramus or Sheriff secuirty - how does it funtion radio wise and by who??

They ARE NOT run by the Sheriff they are gaurds that are overseen by the county police. They are overseen by the county police but aren't actually county police officers. The county police only transports the prisoners to ands fro-m court and work details

really the County Police have someone stationed there and they share the Court and some inter facility transports with the Sheriff - the Sheriff only gets involved by Court Order-Direction
yes the Officers are called Juvenile Detention Officers and are PTC trained
but as far a radio system - no one seems to know; When I lived up there years ago they tried Low band hand me downs from the Police but of course that didnt work...on another thread a while back didnt someone say they heard them on 155.5500 the haz mat channel??
