Man I do not want to ask this..
I am just getting into scanners and have a bunch to learn..
poblem I got right now is My dad found his self a old BC144XL...
now I am spendng more time setting up antemna and such I am not getting to play wth my toy.. Ok I need to ask...don't kick me..
Anybody remember how to remove the old programed frequences... I know how to load new ones in.. (channel 15 and 16 were clear and was able to load them..).but I am going nuts trying to remove old ones

I don't remember this scanner but you can get the Owners manual at this site. You can try to just program over top of the Freq's already installed.

Most scanners can be programmed in these five easy steps:

1. Press Manual 1 Manual (should be channel 1)
2. Enter a frequency
3. Press E
4. Press Manual to advance to the next channel
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4

Just enter 0 as the frequency you want to write over.
