BC100/BC200: BC200xlt Searching Issue

Just got a BC200xlt scanner. I’m having trouble searching for active channels. I’ve read the instructions and I think I’m following them, but it just says error every time. Could someone help?

It's been DECADES since I used a 200XLT, but if I remember correctly you put in the frequency (lower frequency of your search) and hit the limit button, then press the frequency (upper frequency limit of your search) and then press the search button... but I do believe they all have to be in the same band. Try it out.
