Well I dont know what forum to put this in so I put it here.

I'm thinking about buying one of these radios. I live in Vancouver BC and I dont know much about my trunked system here other than what it says on the site
Lower Mainland Wide Area Radio (WARS) EDACS Vancouver
Whatever that means...
Can I get some help / Advise on which unit to buy.

Im not sure about the BC245xlt, but I do believe that the 94, 94a and 94b are soon to be (if not already) discontinued. The 94 can track EDACs systems, but if they are digital you will need another type of scanner. That's the best info I can give you, sorry. I am sure the others will be of more help.

The 94's, 2052's and 95's are all going byebye by January 06. This adds to the list of replaced scanners.
The new line up-

83, 96, 97, 99, 2051, 2096.

Also expect at least one more base scanner in the comming year.

With the release of the BC-246T a lot of Retailers are starting to list the BC-245XLT as discontinued, and Uniden.com online store does not offer the BC-245xlt.

Regards,
Richster.
