BC296D with P25?

I found a BC296D at a good price. and befor I buy it.

I live in Carroll, most has gone to I think P25, with the scanner do what I wound need one to do to Hear the LEO's?

Terrell, the 296D will work fine on the new P-25 system.

Terrell - just make sure the 296 comes with the digital card. It's a plug-in that slides in inside the battery compartment and will work with either the BC296D or the BC796D (base model).

I seen a scanner, tha that will fit in a Radio Din in a car. and even came with the Mounting stuff.

I'm Trying to get a 93' Ford Taurus SHO that has 2 Dins and that would be a Great place to mount it....

is would this be the best scanner that would fix in where a CD player would go?
