bc45xlt antenna connector

I've looked all over for a BNC adapter for my old BC45XLT and I've come to the conclusion that none exist. I was curious if anyone may have come up with any kind of simple homebrew adapter or modification for a BNC connector?

The antenna screws on but I don't know if its a sma or not. All I could find is a ebay listing where the guy says "The duck antenna is screw-in type"
