Hello, I did a search 1st before I posted this and nothing really came up that helped me out.
I just bought a Uniden BC72XLT, I do have the manual, but am 100% completely stupid with figuring out how to program it for my area, I have messed with it a bit and not it is stuck in something, I can only explain it by what I see on the screen and it's:
BANK 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 (with the 1 flashing)
P a tiny 1 followed by 000.000
SCN L/O
Any help programing this thing please?

1. Press FUNC then E/pgm.
2. Enter the channel number you want to program, then press HOLD.
3. Enter the frequency you want in that channel, then press E.

Repeat 2 and 3 for more.

Press SCAN when you are finished.

If you look At RR at wiki and radio models ,you my find a manual there
I don't need a manual, I have it!!
1. Press FUNC then E/pgm.
2. Enter the channel number you want to program, then press HOLD.
3. Enter the frequency you want in that channel, then press E.

Repeat 2 and 3 for more.

Press SCAN when you are finished.

See that is a problem, the manual doesn't say what channels to use or which are the preprogrammed channels?

I don't believe there are any preprogrammed channels. What channel you use depends entirely on you. Generally, you pick one that isn't already in use...

The manual say it has 6 preprogrammed channels, but doesn't say what they are.

These would be the pre-programmed search ranges for various services, they may or may not be used in your area. I think it is FUNC + 3 to access these.
