Does anyone know if the software that comes with the 796D can port databases from this site? I know Win 96 does for the Pro 2096.

I'm pretty sure the answer is no; however, you can get the RRDB reader and pull trunked data down into a format you can copy/paste. I'm not sure if that's compatible with the supplied Uniden software, though. Anyone have more info on that? 73s Mike

I'll check on that. Anyone have ideas? Trying to decide between the 796d and the Pro 2096. Like the idea of the Win 96 software.

Actually, Jake, if memory serves, me, BuTel's ARC250 has a reader for this site built-in. Be sure to check out the ARC250 site, and ask Gommert questions on the associated Yahoo group. 73s Mike

Again, Thanks.

Will do. Would hope to use the software that comes with the 796, if that is the one I buy. Leaning toward the 2096, though.

Maybe later

Now looking at the new Uniden HandHeld. Will get a scanner before the week is out.

Downloaded Win 96 and it looks good,
Still like the 2096.

The new Uniden looks good, though.

Thanks,

Jake
