BC796D version 3.29 firmware issue

Hi,

I too had the same problem where I attempted to upgrade to 3.29 and then my scanner went dead. I recall seeing a dialog box during the initial update process. It asked for the file ending in .scn. I never saw that file and hit update anyway. Thats when I encountered the dead radio. I had to use version 3.28 to restore the radio to working order again.

Does anyone have any idea why version 3.29 would not work?

Could you tell more about how you restore by 3.28, by usb to serial cable or serial cable.
And I remember without choose .scn file, the update can not happen.
