If you have the required file, I don't see why not. I own two BC796D's, with the latest firmware, and I'm curious why you want want to go back to an older version. What's not working right?

I listen to NHSP in the VHF band. It's P-25 non trunking 151-156 mHz.I believe I had better results with the earlier firmware 3.28. Right now after I upgraded, the State Police are not being decoded correctly.I tried the sound adjustments etc. It seems to be hit or miss. Thanks for your help DR
