I bought this scanner a couple of years ago. I used radioreference to program it for my local police, fire, and rescue. I haven't used it in about a year. Took it out of the box, turned it on and I am not receiving anything. Everything is connected properly. I live in VA in Zip 22734. Fauquier and Culpeper Counties are my locals. Have they changed systems? If so, can I upgrade this scanner to receive? Ant ideas would be helpful.

If you're talking about this system it's been rebanded. (I don't know if that happened before or after you put your scanner away.) Make sure you have the latest firmware (you can download it from Uniden's site) and enter the rebanding information (read the rebanding info on the RR wiki). When a system undergoes rebanding you normally stop hearing things until you reprogram the scanner.
