BCD160DN/BCD260DN: Bcd160dn driver problem.

I received the bcd160dn for Christmas. I been trying to get my computer to read the radio no luck. This is what I know. I'm using windows 7. I see in device manager it shows the scanner but needs a driver. I looked and can't seem to find the driver online . I am using the original cable that came with the scanner. Do I need a different cable or anything?

It probably uses the same USB driver as the other Uniden scanners. Try this:

Serial Driver​

• uniden_usbser.zip

If you are having problems installing the drivers, see the following general instructions (some steps might differ slightly, depending on your specific operating system).

Download and unzip the above driver.

1. Plug in the scanner using a USB cable.
2. Right click on the Windows Launch icon (bottom left corner) and select "Device Manager."
3. The device shows up with a yellow triangle.
4. Right click on device and select "Update Driver Software."
5. Select "Browse My Computer for Driver Software."
6. Navigate to the folder where you have unzipped the above driver.

The driver installed and is assigned as: Uniden Serial Port (COMx)
(x) will be replaced with the actual port number.
