The BCD325P2 was my first trunking scanner, and I've manually programmed
Conventional,
EDACS Standard, and
P25 systems.
Programming these systems was straightforward, though tedious.
Learning to program, on the other hand, was difficult, mostly due to the Uniden documentation, which I concluded that, by itself, was insufficient. At the very least, one should have the scanner in hand while reading the manual.
I later programmed a BCT15X. The menus on this radio are almost identical to that of the '325P2, and I found that the
examples in the online manual would have been helpful when I was initially learning the process.
