Does the 325p2,have a discovery mode like its bigger bros 436hp,536hp

Doesn't look like it. Easier to Read BCD325P2 Digital Scanner Manual
Brought up 325 in marks scanners, then did a search for the word "discovery", and came up with nothing.

Sounds like there is not,have been searching for a while and cant seem to find anything about discovery mode

No. The 325 is basically a BCD396XT and doesn't have any of the X36 advanced features (except the Phase 2 capability).

996P2/325P2 Search and Store

It may not be as feature rich as the Discovery mode, I've been using the Search and Store and it works very well in finding new channels or ID's . You can Search and Store - Service Search ( Air ,Railroads,Public Safety and more). Search and Store your P25 Systems to discover new ID's. When a new channel or ID is found its automatically stored .

Okay so can the 325p2 display the tgid on a dmr frequency,just trying to decide which one to go for,i am in Australia

Oddly enough, the BCD436HP is cheaper on Amazon (US pricing) than the BCD325P2 at the moment.

Thanks guys for the input went for the 436,but i still like the small form factor of the 325,i guess i could by both to be happy
