BCD325P2 Question

Can the display of my BCD325P2 indicate if a received frequency is encrypted?
Is there some other way that I can tell if a received frequency is encrypted?
I'm asking in reference to 170.8375. The scanner finds the NAC of 167 but there is no audio.

The display MAY flash "ENC" briefly before it scans on.

That's the only option available.

What county and state? Who is the frequency assigned to?

Radio Reference lists if encrypted. We can use your question as an example once I can look at Radio Reference and then show you how you can tell if a frequency or channel is encrypted.

Clay County NC. I'm near the NC & GA border. Could be from either or a Federal frequency.

Most likely an FBI frequency. It should be encrypted. Are you familiar with Radio Reference?
