Hello all.
Coming from a bc125at I just got a Bcd325p2 because my local pd/fd has gone digital.(Tullahoma TN). Downloaded freescan and and chose the hippie hill site then Coffee co public safety, imported and it works... Somewhat. Its like it cuts out mid stream. The signal rapidly fluctuates from no bars up to 4, its all over the place. The signal level appears to coincide with the dropouts.

Its running the latest firmware 1.11.07
I'm using the Diamond RH77CA

All priority is disabled.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Welcome to the RR forums. Do the drop outs happen completely at random or are they at a regular interval? Understood that you've turned off all priorities but have you included close call?

Tower map shows Tullahoma to be in the Winchester 800 tower range, and totally outside the Hippie Hill tower range which may be your problem. You might try switching to the Winchester 800 tower and see if the scanner will stay locked onto the tower.

I also saw that so I tried the "rippy ridge" site first.. with no luck. I did not try the Winchester 800 tower. Thanks for the suggestion! I will attempt that next if i keep having issues. I am receiving Tullahoma traffic from Hippie Hill though

Made tweaks I'm sure you'll like.

Yep turned off close call, but did make a few adjustments there if you use it later.
Turned on search key assignments under Service search tab- adjust to your liking if you want. Press HOLD, Press FUNC 1,2,3. Press SCAN
Broke the agencies into Fire, Police, Medical.
Turned on Priority ID scan and put the county fire, police dispatch on priority
Changed to ID Scan instead of ID Search- you are getting EVERY talkgroup(47004) heard on the tower. Press FUNC, SCAN on the radio.
Changed the labeling for the names of system, etc.

You have the backlight on Infinite, I hope you have it plugged in all the time since with that setting, it will, if on batteries drain 'em very quick.

Now up to you, for each group for pd, fd, medical you could assign a quick key if you wanted to be able to turn off, then on each one of the groups by pressing the associated key #.

I see I missed your on a different antenna. You may want to get an external USB battery for longer scan times. I have a post somewhere that shows what cable to buy. Get almost 24 hours of continuous scanning. If you do, get 2. Takes about 8 hours to charge them up.

I have a couple of these cables.

It has a ferrite core, to help reduce interference from nearby devices, such as a broadband modem or printer, among others. The larger gauge wire (24AWG) ensures that the cable can pass enough current to the device being charged. Some of the cables that only use 28AWG cannot carry enough current for charging higher current units such as the SDS100. I doubt that size is really going to matter for the 325P2, as it does not require the higher current that the SDS series requires.

This is 6 ft, but it can also be found in lengths from 1.5 to 15 feet direct from Monoprice, as well as on Amazon.

I've gotten a couple of these. High capacity, 36,000mAh. Has pigtails for several cable types (USB C, USB Micro, & Lightning). Also can wireless charge your phone (it it has that option). While it would take some time to fully charge, it does have solar cell charging. That's not going to be quick, but if you leave this power brick on a window sill, where it catches some sunlight, that would keep it topped off if not needed at the same time. It also has a flashlight. Available in several different coolers.

I uploaded this file monitored for a bit but didn't hear a peep. I then changed the Trunk frequency to 771.25620 (hippie hill farm) leaving the rest of the config the same. Now, Manchester PD and Coffee county EMS are loud and clear but ive yet to have a hit from the Tullahoma PD.(my main interest) Tullahoma PD is fairly busy so I'm quite certain somethings still off. This is only my 2nd day fooling with digital so it could just be me...any help is appreciated. Attached is current config

EDIT*******I retract this reply!!! Its just a slow night in Tullahoma i guess. Thanks!
its working as expected minus a possible antenna upgrade
