BCD325P2/BCD996P2: BCD325P2 speaker

On my BCD325P2 scanner my speaker is not all that great, i watched a video on taking my BCD325P2 apart & saw the internal speaker had no wires, it only has contact pads, is it possible to buff down the contact points to see if that helps or will that mess up the contact points?

it is no that loud of a radio, i would leave it alone.
turn up the volume and keep 2 extra cells in a pocket when out.

• At 24Ω internal speaker
218mW nominal for NFM bands
245mW nominal for WFM bands
240mW nominal for AM bands
so, about 1/5th of a watt.
when in the car the wife likes to plug in the AUX on the car's radio.
we had one of those FM transmitters at one time, and it was OK.
but some bluetooth transmitters have to pair to one of their own, not just any that you have.

My opinion follows:

When out and about use an ear piece (they sell Bluetooth stuff as well). In the car use an FM transmitter or plug directly into the AUX IN of your radio if it has it. And carry one (or two) of something like this in your pocket, bag, etc.

It's a great scanner though. I own both P2s. Wish they could handle simulcast though.
