Howdy....I have a BCD352P2 here for programming. I know how to use Sentinel to program the SDS100....Can I use Sentinel for this model? It doesn't act the same when I plug in the programming cable. When you connect the SDS, it asks you if you wanna connect...this one doesn't. USB mount tone, but the computer doesn't see the radio.

Freescan will download from the RR database, but does not update firmware. Uniden has a separate program for updating firmware.

Also Freescan doesn't have the capabilities of ProScan, and does not load DMR sites. I wouldn't even try to learn Freescan and just go with ProScan, which runs circles around Freescan. But even with ProScan you will need to download the Uniden program to update firmware.

Thanks Chaplain. I got it here.....trying to figure it out.
I was able to import the local database. I have the trunk sites freqs and the TG's I want.
Does this work like the SDS100....create a favorites list?
How does one update the FW on this beastie?

No, the memory architecture is completely different between a 325p2 & SDS100 so you're not creating "Favorites Lists" in the x36HP or SDS sense. If you're using Proscan for programming, you can import data directly from the RRDB web import service, one of the perks of your RR premium subscription. See Pages 25, 26 & 27 of the Proscan manual for more

Nice thing about Proscan is that you can upload your bcd436hp or 536 favorites to your 325p2. I have a 325p2 I mainly use as a dedicated P25 scanner sitting on one talkgroup (I am a state level emergency responder) but I have used Proscan to add some of my BCD favorites to the 325p2 and it works well.

Got it. TY.

Menu -> Srch/Clo -> Close Call -> Set CC Mode -> Off

Or - press the Function button and then press the Squelch knob to cycle through the options until it displays "OFF"

To re-order TGs, go to Utilities Tab, then Sort, then Check TGIDs, this will sort them. Otherwise left click and hold on a TG and move it where you want it. (I always just use the sort TGID option so the search is in order)

TY SIR!

What's the trick with this firmware update tool? If I manually select the com port, it tells me access denied. If I auto detect, it can't see the scanner. I have a connection with Pro Scan.

Also....can't enter trunk freqs with 5 numbers right of the decimal point?
