Hello 396T geeks :) Will Pro96Com work with this scanner? In the Pro96Com folder, there's a separate file called BCD396T.scanner which leads me to believe maybe there was a firmware update for the 396T which allowed for control channel output ? I have one sitting in front of me hooked up to Pro96Com and i've tried all baud rates while held on a control channel and it's not reading. thanks in advance.

I don't know about the 396T but if my 996T is any indication you would have to do a modification to the 396T to get the control channel raw data signal out of the scanner. In my 396XT there is an option in one of the menus but this option is not in the 996T.

Yeah, disregard, it seems the 396T.scanner file is for when you use the 396t as a control/monitor scanner (when using two scanners) which i also could not get to work. I sure wish the SDS scanners would come out with a firmware update to allow a control channel output, this would trump all other scanners in the simulcast distortion department, thanks.

This is for a 396/996XT. Not sure if it works on a T model

Go to settings on the scanner and turn on C-CH Output.
Program an unused tg in the scanner. MANUALLY tune that tg.
Check all your port settings, hope it works.
